I am the artist known as Chavi. It’s kind of weird talking about my self ‘The Artist’. When it comes to my art i get all shy and modest! Growing up I never thought it was that big of a deal that i could draw/paint, figured everybody can. I thought drawing was like common sense. Obviously if you’re drawing a human its supposed to resemble you, right?

Common sense has very little if anything to do with art in all actuality. Art is an inner expression of the creative side of you which in most cases is not common at all and has no real boundaries.

I love to draw/paint abstract, cultural art, expressionist, impressionist and occasionally still life works of art. Women are my absolute favorite thing to paint, their elegant and poetic body structure says so much! Yes i am biased, but men also have very intense defined bodies to depict artistically, with their broad shoulders and strong facial features… One thing about me is that I like to use a mixed media of material for my art, from polyurethane and nail polish to coffee stains and real jewelry! My work is definitely diverse.
